About Yuliya Benedziktavich
Every neighbour deserves a voice at City Hall. I’m here to listen.
About Me
I graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours degree in Health Care Management and Policy, where I focused on how public systems work and how they can be made more effective for the people who rely on them.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked across business, community engagement, and leadership roles, which has shaped how I think about cities, local government, and the connection between policy and everyday life.
Professionally, I currently oversee operations and strategic initiatives across several business ventures. My work includes managing business operations at an accounting firm, co-owning and leading marketing and brand development projects for a bakery, and coordinating partnerships, outreach, and operational planning.
I co-own Asters Patisserie, a bakery specializing in delicious desserts and most of all customer experience. Being part of a small business has taught me the importance of listening to people, responding to their needs, and being consistent in maintaining high standards of services.
In 2022, I ran as a Ward 5 Council candidate in Richmond Hill. A big part of that experience was speaking directly with residents and understanding their concerns firsthand. It gave me a practical view of how local government functions and how important it is for people to feel heard and represented.
These experiences have given me practical insights on how communities function, what helps them grow, and how local decisions shape both business and daily life.
I care about supporting local businesses, improving public services, and building communities where people feel genuinely connected and represented.

That background carries directly into municipal government, where the same questions come up:
- how public money is spent,
- how services reach residents,
